TEA PARTY MEMBERS MAKE RACIST STATEMENTS AT DEMONSTRATION ON 580 OVERPASS IN PLEASANTON (WITH VIDEO)

Original post made by Zone 7, Downtown, on Jul 30, 2010

So you think Tea Party members are being unfairly targeted as racists?

If that is the case, you need to take a look at this video from ABC-7 News to hear what Tea Party members say when they let their guard down at a Thursday demonstration in Pleasanton.

Web Link

When being interviewed by ABC-7 News, the Tea Party protesters claimed the “debate is not about race”, but when the interviews stopped, the racism came pouring out.

A car wreck occurred on the freeway below and the driver appeared to be Latino. That sparked a round of jokes about his immigration status.

"He's looking for his papers," said a man.

Another woman lodged this complaint, "We were right behind 60 Mexicans so they could go first. Really, they needed a translator so we all had to wait. And second of all, I couldn't find one that had a driver's license or insurance or a baby seat."

You can see all these quotes in the video. So you see, they claim their protest “isn’t about race”, yet the moment they see a Latino driver on the side of the road, the racist jokes come out of the woodwork. Gee, I thought you Tea Party members were about “low taxes". Turns out the Tea Party is more of a anti-Latino, anti-Muslim, anti-anything that isn't white or Christian.

Does that surprise you? Doesn't surprise me a bit.

I've seen plenty of these bigots around town.

Lets not let nut jobs (on either side) influence our own educated opinion on the issue(s).

HHR,
You're not fooling anybody.

The majority of (if not the only) racism as well as violence comes from the democrat left, including and especially the SEIU, ACORN, the New Black Panthers, etc.

Have a nice day.

Did anyone else think that it was ironic a few months ago when the Tea Party was demonstrating at the Pleasanton Fair Grounds, next to the Boy Scouts?

Oops, sorry folks, the people in the video are not teabaggers according to Teri.

They were democrats pretending to be teabaggers, trying to fool the "liberal" media.

Not surprising that Ch 7 will clip questionable comments out of context and attempt to smear the TEA Party and minutemen groups.

For the first comment, on the face of it, it is racial humor, but it is not a racist statement. Any honest person will admit that there is a difference. More than 50% of the comedy seen on TV is racial in the very same way.

The context would come in to see what the person down on the freeway was doing when the comment was made. When one gets in a car wreck, is it not true that one has to produce their insurance paperwork? So, if in fact the person went to the glove box or appeared to be looking for something, I would call the first comment a harmless racial joke. No different from what you hear on Lopez Tonight, comedy central etc.

As for the 2nd comment, it is partially unintelligible, and partially misquoted, and out of context. The quote on the screen is different from the words the person says. In addition, you cannot tell who in the video is actually speaking, it is out of context because you don't know what the person is talking about. Not to mention, it sounds like there is at least one edit, where two different comments were spliced together.

The whole thing is a poorly contrived attempt at a smear job from Ch 7 against the Tea Party and minutemen.

I would be outraged, but after every media outlet running stories about racists in the tea party, after the Center for American Progress producing videos with similar material, claiming they were filmed at a Tea Party rally when the video predated the first Tea Party rally by years.

When the same Center for American Progress smear merchant shot the video that claimed to have Tea Party people using the n word towards congressmen on Capitol Hill, etc, etc, etc, we can see one false smear after another, and they will continue.

The reason all this happens is because the progressive left is losing in the arena of ideas to conservatives. They cannot convince the American people that a social democracy is superior to our constitutional republic.

So they have to claim that the Tea Party and anyone favoring our constitutional republic and smaller government is a racist, xenophobe, homophobe, bitterly clinging to our guns and bibles, astroturfing violent neo-nazis.

What a shocker!!! Jimf01 comes running to the rescue of his bigot Tea Party buddies and then uses the most tortured logic to explain why these bigots are "poor victims" of the media. It is pretty obvious that you have no shame. The statements and jokes were blatantly racist, pure and simple, and there is no way they were taken out of context.

Are you saying that they weren’t making fun of that Latino driver? If so, you seem to have trouble dealing with reality, which is quite typical of Tea Party members. According to you, some comedians use racial humor so that makes it ok for Tea Party members to be bigots. What an pathetic excuse.

Jimf01 simply can’t deal with the fact that he is part of a white nationalist movement and will defend it to the bitter end. I'm glad he doesn't live in Pleasanton.

con - you just proved every point I made, you cannot make an honest statement, you call me a bigot and a white nationalist, distort the very simple statements I made, and put quotes around the phrase poor victims when I didn't use either one of those words.

Game Over

You Lose

Jimf01,

Weak comeback. Of course you are trying to make your bigot Tea Party buddies look like victims of the media. You spent half your post whining about how media was trying to smear Tea Partiers. Cry me a river!

Face it Jim, the local Tea Party just got exposed for their racist statements and there is no way you can try to rationalize it. Why don’t you be have some dignity and admit what they said was racist. Nope, that would be too much to ask from Jim. You lose.

I didn't quite follow you on that one. Since the humor is based upon prejudged racial stereotypes, how is that not racist? What exactly would be a non-racist racial joke?

Jimf01,

My family does not allow that kind of "humor" to be used around our house. Would you allow your children to make that kind of remark under those circumstances? I'm talking about the "papers" remark.

It's OK to dis people who don't bother to learn english...that's NOT racist. I've seen blacks & indians who speak elegant King's English. It's about the soil they're on, and the language they speak...NOT race ! ! Those who pretend to want to be here, should be listening to American TV and radio....not protesting and demanding to convert American to Mexico, that's a bit twisted. Assimilate. Once an oath has been taken IN english, there is no reason to listen to spanish. IF they say they want to be Americans, then BE Americans !

It makes me sick to know so many Tea Party types live in this town. If their goal is to ruin the reputation of Pleasanton, they’re doing a fantastic job. They can hide behind their “low tax” and “less government” talking points, but at the end of the day they are nothing less than a white nationalist political party. Did you see any diversity in that group of protesters? All I saw was beer guts and misplaced anger.

Morris, Morris Morris: then I must assume you were at the protest based on your assessment: "All I saw was beer guts and misplaced anger."

Were you there behaving BADLY, in an effort to make " the white nationalist political party" look bad?

Careful, you just might "ruin your reputation" in Pleasanton as an elitist to be in such company.

And you grossly oversimplify "diversity" within "that group of protesters" by limiting it to "skin color".

You were so busy being "sick" you failed to notice the diversity of thought like "low taxes" and "small government"

By allowing ourselves to be shamed into political correctness we have allowed illegal immigration to damage our country. We would not be allowed to go into Mexico or any other country openly break their laws then protest for our rights to break their law.

I hope Arizona successfully sets a precedence for stopping the erosion that out of control illegal immigration has caused to our country. I hope other states follow.

jmf01, I would really like to see an answer to Stacey's question. In case you missed it, here you go:

"Since the humor is based upon prejudged racial stereotypes, how is that not racist? What exactly would be a non-racist racial joke?"

I'm pondering that one myself -

There was nothing 'rascist' in any of those comments. You holier than thou liberal elitists need to get a life and stop pretending to defend illegal behavior. Your support of the illegal aliens is a not so subtle way to boost the dependent class that votes democrat.
Your ilk has ruined California in general and are spreading like a plague. You leemings are the best arguement yet for abortion on demand.

Organizers of the Tea Party movement, a group opposed to the federal government’s attempts to alleviate the ongoing financial crisis through increased spending and taxation, announced today that their members have split down reactionary lines into those who are apoplectic in regard to the Obama administration and those who are merely enraged. “This rift is absolutely irresolvable,” screamed red-faced events coordinator Daniel Hume, head of the movement’s apoplectic faction. “We believe that now is simply not the time to be irrationally furious about unprecedented economic policies that have had little more than a year to start showing any signs of effectiveness. Now is the time to be foaming-at-the-mouth, incoherently livid about them.” A third camp of angry protesters had reportedly emerged from the recent upheaval, but its entire membership tragically died from massive brain aneurysms shortly after the group formed.

there are fringe types in any party. one guy making a racist comment does not make the entire membership racist.

just think about this a moment. the tea party members are obviously becoming a threat, especially to the democrats. what better way to minimize their impact if you can label them all as crazies.

i think that both the republicans and democrats have failed the people of America. I hate partisan politics. does that make me a tea party member?

It would be comical if it wasn't so sad. Sad because of the ignorance of most Americans and sad because of the total control the media has on most Americans minds. I am not a member of the tea party and have had no communications with them period.

If you believe that the Federal Reserve is part of the government, you already fail that part of the ignorance test. You have no idea that in reality, the federal income tax is illegal, and the fact is, there is no law period, that says you have to pay the illegal federal income tax. You don't have enough knowledge about the income tax issue to be judging the tea party members and the tax issue. And don't try and tell me that anyone of you is without prejudice and/or hyprocrisy.

Your lack of knowledge/ignorance brings us to the media controlling your thoughts. To begin with, if it were not for a corporate and criminal media, controlled by a handful of "elite", everyone would know that the Federal Reserve (The Fed) was in fact owned by private bankster families, with the Rothschild Banking Family by far, the top dog. Not only does the media have you completely suckered on this issue, but they have you up against anyone/everyone that is working to end this criminal banking system, including the tea party. If you are not feeling pretty stupid right now, you are beyond hope and you make a good wage slave, provided you still have a job so that they can steal more of your income/labor/wealth.

I know that most of you are to brainwashed to even consider what I have just said. That is sad because unless enough Americans wakeup to the lie that we all are living, we all go down. Can't you see that the Banksters are destroying the middle class. A lot of the upper middle class and or the rich are going down too, the fact is, the great majority will. You are all contributing to your own demise. Why do you think we have and have had an open border with Mexico? What ever happened to "homeland security"? It does not even exist as far as our border with Mexico is concerned, unless you are an American and try to leave the USA. It is real simple, flood America with poor emigrants to take the jobs for pennies on the dollar, and overload the hospitals, prisons, schools etc.etc. and you better forget the life style that you once had. It aint never comming back. The future holds nothing but debt for your children and there children. One could say that their future was stolen on our watch, with most of you complicit and to ignorant to know any better because Hollywood and the media decides what you are to know and believe. Think about NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT, Free Trade. The government sold us all out. This country is set up to fail, all the while you are concerned with being entertained. Freedom aint free, and soon you will find out that when good people do nothing, evil prevails. You had better get off your high horse and start asking guestions/investigating. Check this link, it is the truth. Get past the heading at the top and read the article, it is not what it seems regarding the heading at the top.Web Link

Good call James. The crooks running this country are afraid of the tea party, due to the illegal federal income tax and the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank. If enough Americans ever wake up to the lies, those crooks are going down. Being that they own the media, they control what peple believe, and use it to dumb us down and divide us. So far, they have been batting 1000. Most are brainwashed wage slaves and believe they are free. The only two party system in this country is the haves and the have nots.
