The good news: This allows sports teams to practice on the blacktop in the various lots bordering Parkside Drive.
The bad news: Irresponsible and careless parents choosing to block traffic by parking illegally on the park side on the street bordering the park.
Parkside Drive is a narrow, winding road with lots of traffic entering the courts and circles throughout the neighborhood. My fear is that while one of these clueless parents tries to save 2 minutes dropping their kids off illegally in the street, one of them will be hit and seriously injured, or the parent's car will get rear-ended as another car rounds one of the curves on Parkside.
If you really care for the well-being of your kids, stop this illegal practice and park on the other side of the street, wait for traffic to clear and be glad you are not endangering anyone, including your own kid.
There are 'No Parking signs every 50 to 100 feet on the south side of Parkside drive. The police have been notified about the illegal parking situation, just in case you need more incentive to do the right thing.
