Climategate's Phil Jones Confesses to Climate Fraud

Original post made by Pleasanton Mom, Birdland, on Feb 15, 2010

This is the beginning of the end of the Global Warming Fraud. The level of deception perpetrated by Jones and his co-conspirators at the Climatic Research Unit will likely remain the yardstick by which Climate Fraud is measured for years to come.

Pleasanton Mom, a resident of the Birdland neighborhood... please do two things. First, if you can afford it, go to either London or Mexico City to look at the statues. You will notice their deterioration due to emissions.

The second option is to fly back from Vancouver, BC at dusk to SFO as we did in August 2008. You will see the dark red horizon to the west. This has been linked to China's pollution flowing west. Don't take my word for it, all you have to do is pull up the historical references during WWII of the Japanese using the Pacific jet stream to float balloons laden with bombs starting in Japan and ending in our Northwest. Their pollution and what you breath is the same.

The bottom-line is that man-made pollution has caused problems historically and continues insidiously today. I do not understand you people. What is so hard to LOOK and reason. Your children and possibly you personally will suffer.

Now, having stated this, I do not believe in radical actions by those that put iron spikes in trees. As I have stated in many postings in PW, only rational discussion and action works.

Thanks dmike, for an almost rational response. First, the jet stream travels east from China towards North America.
Second, I would like a cite for your claim that deterioration of statues is due to emissions.
Third, and not least of all, PMom's OP referenced Global Warming Fraud. Not pollution, not China, not statues. These are separate issues. Everyone would love China and India to clean up, and pollute at the same level that the US does, but that has zero to do with the CRU and Phil Jones, Ben Shields at LLNL and the rest of that gang.

Jim, you can't possibly talk any sense into mike from dublin. He's switched his thinking towards controlling pollution (no doubt with our tax dollars wasted through our govt) as a means to increase govt control over our lives.....never mind that regardless of what we do, it won't influence world-wide air quality.
The end game is more Dem control over our lives and now that MMGW has been debunked, thye've moved on to controlling us thru pollution control laws. They, no doubt want to cripple ur economy to bring us even with their friends in the 3rd world. That will help ally the elitists guilt.....
Of course, AlGore and his storm followers would never give up their lavish lifestyles for the cause (sprawling mansions, private jets, etc.)

Dear DublinMarx..."pigeon dung!"

Tho intuitively there may be some deterioration of statues due to air pollution (tho I have not seen any empirical evidence on this), the damage to statues and buildings is due largely to pigeon droppings. >>> Web Link

Dominoes are falling. Two months ago we had the dumping of emails that showed the TAMPERING wherever needed to slant the 'science. Then last month the UN panel of Climate Change 2007 report was exposed in all our papers as "RIDDLED WITH ERRORS". Then the former head of the IPCC, Robt Watson says "mistakes all appear to have made it seem like climate change is more serious by OVERSTATING the impact". Also, trying to excuse after being caught saying crisis would be 2035...that it was a typo. Many are DESPERATELY trying to twist the phony "urgency" scam. Like your Mother told you, beward of scammers trying to tell you "gotta do it now", tomorrow's too late". That's the Elmer Gantry scammer of old...gotts do it QUICK, BEFORE THEY ALL DISCOVER YOUR SCAM !!! Well, sell it to the people of Texas, Georgia, Carolinas, Ohio, Virginia,...basically about half the US has been literally buried in TWO months of snow...sort of caps off the last 15 years of 'cooling'. The cons want our entire US budget spent on this green crap before these last 15 years will have to be included in the "reports". Stop, take a breath, and think rationally before we squander the finances of the next 2 generations on FALSE info...otherwise known as LIES. Some otherwise smart people should stop being a gullible as they have allowed themselves to become.

Do understand GREEN is a big bucket a lot of things are tossed into by the uninformed and/or hucksters. Actually RENEWABLE, CLEAN, and SUSTAINABLE very separate concepts. Remewables can be DIRTY. Clean does not mean renewable. Renewable does not mean sustainable. Sustainable does not mean clean.
Stop and think. Solar power may be clean...but it is a very dirty metal manufacturing plant that has to produce those panels....sort of negating much of the clean. While the elect car is putting along it may be clean, however, every time forever it is 'plugged in' it is sucking off your residential power from a very dirty power plant....unless it could be an ALL_CLEAN nuclear plant..Which had we been using more of those nuclear the last 30 years...there wouldn't BE a pollution problem. But, we were led astray by the kooks...who didn't we're letting them do to us AGAIN!. They were like cavemen first seeing fire ! ...and wasted the last 30 years.

Obama’s Politically Correct “Green Jobs” Will Destroy Our Economy

January 11, 2010

Barack Obama announced his desire to create 17,000 “green jobs” at a cost of $2.3 billion of taxpayer money. This translates to a cost of $135,295 per job created.

No one, including the White House, is really sure what a “green job” is or is not. Obama thinks “green jobs” have to do with politically correct energy production.

“Building a robust clean-energy sector is how we will create the jobs of the future,” said Obama.

He added that the fund “will help close the clean-energy gap that has grown between America and other nations while creating good jobs, reducing our carbon emissions and increasing our energy security.”

There are predictions for many areas that the green energy bubble will soon burst. Green energy costs many more times that of conventional fossil fuel and nuclear generated energy. Green energy production is economically destructive and destroys far more jobs than are created.

President Obama has been touting Spain and other countries as examples of countries relying on wind generated electricity. How fortunate it is for Obama that his supporters and opponents do not think, research, or challenge his economically destructive Socialist ideas.

“Think of what’s happening in countries like Spain, Germany and Japan, where they’re making real investments in renewable energy,” said Obama while lobbying Congress, in January to pass the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. “They’re surging ahead of us, poised to take the lead in these new industries.”

“Their governments have harnessed their people’s hard work and ingenuity with bold investments — investments that are paying off in good, high-wage jobs — jobs they won’t lose to other countries,” said Obama. “There is no reason we can’t do the same thing right here in America. … In the process, we’ll put nearly half a million people to work building wind turbines and solar panels; constructing fuel-efficient cars and buildings; and developing the new energy technologies that will lead to new jobs, more savings, and a cleaner, safer planet in the bargain.”

The Danes have covered their country with wind machines, destroyed their beautiful landscape, and destroyed wildlife with wind machines that chop up birds and bats.

The claim that Denmark derives about 20% of its electricity from wind overstates matters. Being highly intermittent, wind power has recently (2006) met as little as 5% of Denmark’s annual electricity consumption with an average over the last five years of 9.7%.

Taxes and charges on electricity for Danish household consumers make their electricity by far the most expensive in the European Union.

Denmark has been a first-mover in the wind power industry for over ten years, and its leading wind turbine manufacturers have been able to maintain a very strong global position. . . The policy has only been made possible through substantial subsidies supporting the wind turbine owners. . . Exactly how the subsidies have been shared between land, wind turbine owners, labor, capital and shareholders is opaque, but it is fair to assess that no Danish wind industry to speak of would exist if it had to compete on market terms.

Germany has also been touted as a haven for green energy. However, Germany’s wind and solar generated electricity costs are hidden in government subsidies.

Government support for solar energy between 2000 and 2010 is estimated to have a total net cost of $73.2 billion US, and $28.1 billion US for wind. A similar expenditure in the US would amount to about half a trillion dollars US.

Green jobs created by government actions disappear as soon as government support is terminated, a lesson the German government and the green companies it supports are beginning to learn.

Government aid for wind power is now three times the cost of conventional electricity.

“Green jobs” have devastated the economy of Spain and greatly slowed its economic recovery. In spite of this man-caused “green jobs” economic disaster, Barack Obama and the Progressive Left still try to convince us that “green jobs” offer solutions to our economic woes. Spain’s experience has been quite the opposite.

For every 1 green job financed by Spanish taxpayers, 2.2 jobs were lost as an opportunity cost

Only 1 out of 10 green job contracts were in maintenance and operation of already installed plants, being the rest working positions only sustainable in an expansive environment related to high subsidies

Since 2000, Spain has committed €571,138 ($753,778) per each “green job”

Those programs resulted in the destruction of nearly 110,500 jobs

Each “green” megawatt installed destroyed 5.39 jobs elsewhere in the economy.

Adding insult to injury, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), Spain’s annual emissions of carbon dioxide have increased by nearly 50 percent since the nation began its aggressive push to subsidize and support “green jobs.”

Obama has become a perpetual menace to our energy independence and our economic recovery.

The solutions to our problems are still very simple. Taxes must be cut and government spending must be drastically cut except for our national security and a few other essential expenditures.

Energy, like health care, needs to be returned to free market control with the government out of the way. We have more oil, natural gas, and coal than any other country. We also have very adequate supplies of nuclear fuel. We simply need to develop and use these resources.

The idea that global warming was produced by human activities is a hoax and must be ignored if we are to economically survive. With the increasing colder weather over the past several years, some global warming would actually be of good benefit.

Keeping government Socialists and busybodies out of our energy production, health care, and other economic functions is the key to our health, happiness, and economic prosperity. It is also fundamental to recovering our Liberty.

Don't forget they had to change the term from global warming to climate change to prvent any sticky points like decline temperatures in the arguement.
