Original post made by Curious, Downtown, on Feb 9, 2010

Anyone know why W. Angela was blocked off with police cars and fire trucks last night, around 5:30pm?

Apparently a tenant in the 300 block of Main Street smelled a smoke-like odor and called the fire department there. Police were there to control traffic. There was no fire, but LPFD said a bakery below had left an oven on, leading to "smell hot." There was no fire or visible smoke, but they took precautionary measures.
