Senate plans Christmas Eve vote for Health Care Reform package

Original post made by jimf01, another community, on Dec 17, 2009

Shocker, while nearly all of America is focusing on Christmas, and despite the fact that opinion polls by consensus show the people are opposed to it, the Senate plans to vote on Health Care on Christmas Eve.
A package that has not even been presented to the American people in it's final form, sent off for CBO scoring according to reports, but not released to the public, and which is now opposed by numerous elements on the left and the right of the political spectrum.

Why would they do this? Why would the Sene try to ram through something that many of their own supporters say they do not want? What is really going to be in the package?

Einstein is a registered user.

Because it is not about healthcare but rather about control of our lives and the US economy. This is the most devious thing in the history of the United States. That said, it will be the undoing of the United States government as we know it.

Einstein is right. It doesn't matter what we (the US people) want. Obama promised public health care and its going to happen no matter what the majority of the people want.

This continues to remind of a geat sequence:

Obama: We will get you health care!
Public: Yeah!!!!
Obama: We will take care of your mortgage!
Public: Yeah!!!!
Obama: We will get you jobs!
Public: Why do we need jobs????

Why? would they do this. It's all about them. First, it's about Obama's ego and legacy. This has NOTHING to do with OUR healthcare. It's about him getting a bill CALLED ''HISTORIC health care reform '' and in his FIRST year!! It's really tragic that this is all about selfish egos wanting to go down in history....never mind that it is destroying quality health care for the majority...we don't matter. We've had no voice in all this cramming in the last week. It's like Pelosi's Xmas tree last year bailout, when WE gave money to Hollywood, etc. etc. Everything you can imagine was loaded on that give away. We haven't recoved from that. Now this monstrosity has been piled on the last several weeks that AFTER it is all brought out in the open (after next year's add ons) will be Trillions over what we've been told. Costly lies! Demand knowing every goodie that our kids have to provide forever more. HOW can we tell them they have freedom to choose the life they want...that will no longer exist. They will be robot tax slaves forced to provide things for others 'whether they like it or not'. This batch of elected owe us the decency to let us know ,truthfully, what is really in the bill, and HONESTY about the cost. They always quote the LIE for this decade.since we PAY bigtime for the next 4 years (for uilding a little temporary base), before it starts being used.
Pay for 4, use for 10 and call it the successful first decade !That will shortly absorbed until they're out of office, some of us have died, and the next generation can only read parents old books about the quality medical care we use to get back at the turn of our century (truth won't be allowed) Next generation will think they were meant to suffer. Our 200 year miracle is coming to a close.

Curtain up on the folly at 1:00 AM tonight...record showing Senate voted on a MONday. The House is Christmas eve. Then Obama can sign in the calendar year '09...it's all about historic theatre. So it can be recorded Obama REconstructed America, so that 30 million of his followers will have "subsidized insurance" instead of taxpayer Emergency Room care...and it did it all (to us) in the year he was elected !!! (applause now)
