Weekly skips news of Obama's BayArea visit ???

Original post made by Puzzled, Highland Oaks, on Oct 16, 2009

Puzzled why Weekly would choose to not report that Obama flew in on Air Force One for the SOLE purpose of speaking at a DEM fundraiser at St Francis hotel...raised several million $$ for his party. But he was shuttled in to the back so he missed seeing the MANY different protest groups, each on their own issues, each with their differenct protest signs. There were some Republicans, but the majority were various DEM, or left of center crazy Code Pink. So many of the groups had campaigned for his election and had hoped to get his attention that they were upset with him. I wonder if McNerney was there to get his share of the $2million ?

A US President flying in on his Presidential plane, just to talk with some local folks....right in our own back yard is quite a story..& his first time as President !! Of course he wasn't here on Presidential matters...merely to campaign to Dem partisans. It is a bigger story than some of the other daily national 'Weekly' Forum postings by Editor and some of the regular leftist defenders on this site. Several tri-valley locals were outside protesting, other locals inside attending the dinner...that's pretty big news for local forums. The'Silence' is deafening from the Forum's usual Dem defenders......reality bites.

Isn't the president usually "shuttled" in the back way for safety? Bush was too much of a scaredy cat to even visit San Francisco!

Julie, After 8 years of hate talk, I see it's hard to break the habit of 'name calling'..instead, it's probably best to think of something positive to say about your guy. OR, actually report on facts.

yeah julie! Bush is rubber and Obama is glue. Whatever you say bounces off Bush (yikes!) and sticks to Obama-oo. Neener neener neener!

Wonder if our Mayor attended this little get together...

Now that could be considered "local"...
