FIDEL WEIGHS IN ON NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

Original post made by little m, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Oct 10, 2009

"Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro lauded the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to U.S. President Barack Obama, saying on Saturday it was "a positive measure" that was more a criticism of past U.S. policies than a recognition of Obama's accomplishments." Reuters

Okay! I'm confused. Is the Nobel Peace Prize for accomplishments or for rectifying historically bad behavior. I just need to know so I can begin nominating next years candidates.

Poster boy provided info re: the intent, and a link, in yesterday's thread re: Obama and the Nobel prize. I think if you check it out it will help clear your confusion.
