Yep you really got him. Obama gave one last push for Chicago to help the committee that was actually responsible for promoting the city. It was in no way his job or role to win this vote. He did a good thing for his hometown and his country.

Why does the Ptown Weekly even publish these outrageously uneducated comments?

Joseph,

Well for one thing what is outrageous to you is reality to many others and secondly we still have free speech at least for now in this country and you should be glad that PW still acts with integrity unlike most of the minor media these days.

Yeah, but your post was still obnoxious, anti-American, and had little to do with the actual facts. Good luck with that.

Rita...I'll echo your comments!

Obama's failures equate are victories for America. I hope he and his policies continue to fail because many of us would like America to succeed, despite the Liberal's intentions to destroy our way of life.

!,
Let me start by saying that I know your feelings about my posts, so you don't need to reiterate them here - though I'm sure you won't, since you've pledged not to respond to anything I write.
As a liberal, I resent your statement regarding "the Liberal's intentions to destroy our way of life." Nothing is gained by vilifying your opponents, and liberals love this country just as much as you do.

I wish Obama would just come out and admit he does not know what he is doing and then we could help him out by putting people around him who know what they are doing because honestly thus far he just appears to be clueless and more people are going to get killed in Afghanistan and other places because of his gross incompetence.

As far as I can tell he is just looking to add another failure to his first year. So far he has failed to gain any wins in his first year in office.

Please stop trolling. If you did your homework for a change maybe you would learn something. I know this isn't Palo Alto or something, but we can do better than this.

Go out and do something. Maybe go on a date! Come back here when you're a little older.

"Nothing is gained by vilifying your opponents"

Hmmm, have you ever studied anything remotely close to warfare? Even Sun Tzu says you have to get the public to support your effort which definitely means you have to vilify you opponent. If there is no villain, who are we fighting?

Opponents? This whole thread is the opponent. There aren't any sides to it.

Here We Go,
I'm talking about the people on this thread with opposing viewpoints, not a war. I'm not *fighting* anyone. Just trying to have a discussion w/o insults.
Kids, kids, kids, you're right!
I'm out!

My Republican friends - you lost, deal with it and we'll re-visit in 7.5 years.

The man was handed a mess in January - it's now October. Sorry the mess isn't fixed yet.

There is some upside in this and that is that after about another year of the messiah we will have wiped out congress of democrats and soon the president. I just hope the US is still around.

JeffS...you sir are simply wrong.

Reagan was handed a much-worse economic situation from the Carter debacle and Reagan turned the economy around by doing just the opposite of what Obama and his Socialist Democrat Admin is doing.

Obama has made a problem (which, by the way, I strongly suspect that George Soros and Company caused on purpose at the height of McCain's polls) much much worse. It has been exclusively Obama's economy now for several months and nowhere else should anyone put the blame.

YOU deal with it. This disaster of an economy is exclusively the fault of the Obama Admin and the voters will remember that in 2010 and 2012.

"During Reagan's first two years, the economy got a lot worse -- double-digit unemployment by the end of 1982, at the time of the midterm election."

So, we have at least two years before anyone can make statements comparing Obama's handling of the economy with Reagan's.

Dear !, As with my earlier comment - it appears you'll have to deal with it. May want to hunker down with a copy of Sarah's new book and keep on watching Fox news. 2016 will be here before ya know it.

8 more american boys killed in Afghanistan yesterday and 3 the day before that. I wonder why CNN is not complaining about the carnage of this war which we are losing and in a big way..........oh that is right they are in the bag for the messiah.

Obama already is aware he is a loser and I just hope he asks for help before we go down with him.

Such brilliant commentary here. William F. Buckley junior would be proud! ;-)

Just wanted to thank Stacy for her post- You beat me to what I was going to put in!

The current administration can be held only partially responsible for the state we are in, as thus far he has been unable to make the impact those who voted for him prayed to see. Most of this downhill spiral started many years ago. We have been selling intangibles that could never be collected for a long time in our economy and are only now realizing the damage done. I am looking at a much lower standard of living then my parents enjoyed, despite earning a great deal more then they ever did. I also am faced with the prospect of not being able to afford to retire.

Say what you would like, but all of this was in motion before the current administration was sworn in. We have neutered our own economy with our lifestyles and determination to have instant gratification. Why save for something you desire when you can finance it at 19% interest with $0 down?

lets admit it. Obama should not be held responsible for any of this no more than Bush should have been held responsible for 911 afterall it must have been Clinton's fault. Obama is the first President in american history who has blamed others continually for his own failures..............leadership is what we need and he is not giving it to us.
