More Info on men who beat taxi driver

Original post made by resident, Downtown, on Sep 1, 2009

I quote from a post on another thread:
This is posted on the Colliers-Parish Website as their core values...they work in the Stockton office...Goldstein is the managing partner, Billingsley works for him

Culture

We are a people centered company that continues to be built by identifying people who have a "similar heartbeat". We believe in the dignity of people and therefore aspire to treat each other with love and mutual respect. We believe in "self responsibility" and therefore do not blame others for what happens in our lives. You can describe our environment as one of integrity, caring, nurturing, trust, closeness; and one of chiefly givers rather than takers. We operate in a "family atmosphere" and are all for one and one for all. We believe in giving the "benefit of the doubt" rather than jumping to conclusions. We believe in the value of continuing education to build and maintain the highest level of competence. How we deal with issues comes from the inside out. Our word is our bond and we believe in never burning a bridge. We look at the company as "our" company. It's a place where we all experience both "professional" and "personal growth" and an environment that brings out the best in each of us.

I called the Stockton office, 209-475-5100, to verify that these sub-human life forms work there. They do, as outlined on the C-P website. I was asked why I was calling and simply said that in the event I might need to do business with their firm, I wanted to know in advance whether those two men work there. The company apparently has no plans to take action regarding employment of two very violent and unpredictable men. Of course, if the public decides to avoid doing business with C-P it might be prudent to call or email and let them know why.

Look I am against what they did as anyone but by the same token their personal behavior has nothing to do with their jobs nor their employers and the employer can actually be sued by them if they wer to take action. let the court system work it's magic and then let's see what happens.

Carolyn, I disagree. Their personal character has much to do with their jobs, as stated even on the website under corporate information.
Would you send your preschoolers to a day care run by a charged but not yet convicted child molester? Sometimes the lack of personal ingtegrity speaks loudly enough that doing business with their employer is just not something that can be done in good conscience. Many employers have a morals or ethics clause in their contract, as mine does. If I were arrested on similar charges, even if it resulted in no jail time, I would lose my license and never be allowed in my field for the remainder of my life. And I think that is fair.
These men are predators. If their employer intends no action I will never do business with Colliers-Parish again. I have done so in the past so that is not a pointless threat.

If they're convicted, they definitely won't be working there long. The company is not obligated to employ criminals.

Resident - I am in 100% agreement with you. I believe people should not do business with a company that employs people with violent criminal offenses. What those two men did was disgusting, and I would be ashamed to do business with them.

guilty until proven innocent?
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone?
Tried and convicted in the court of public opinion without the benefit of all the facts.
I'm not defending these gus or what they are alleged to have done, but pointing out that until the courts prove them guilty without a doubt, your passing judgement and boycotting their employer is nothing more than an exposure of knee-jerking mob mentality.

Let the courts pass judgement first, then you can pile on your righteous indignation for all to see..........
