Many sirens around 4:30 this morning?

I wondered if anyone knows what happened this morning around 4:30am on the west side of Pleasanton. There were many sirens going on for a long while - either on Foothill or possibly on 680.

My daughter was awakened by the sirens and as they got closer she looked out her window and saw a police car chasing a Hummer at high speed northbound on Muirwood Drive. A couple of minutes later they were back down Highland Oaks and headed southbound on Muirwood. The Hummer barely made the turn off Highland Oaks to Muirwood. Wonder if they got him and if it was a stolen car.
