This would not be keeping San Leandro Hospital open in any sense. It would simply move a small number of patients from Fairmont to San Leandro. It is a slimy bribe from Sutter Hospitals to the county allowing them to Redline locals and harvest the well insured for their Castro Valley plans. It stinks on ice!!

With health care reform so close, please don't let another hospital and emergency room close.

Additional facilities like this will be needed for the aged to attend their death panel hearings under Obamacare.

I would certainly like my Kaiser premiums to go down. I pay almost $300/mo and never even go to the hospital. However, I think there should be a safety net for people who can't afford to get care. Indigent, "illegal," or whatever, I think if someone has a health issue, they should be able to get treatment. If I saw someone with a broken arm on the street, or shot, or suffering from swine flu, they should get medical attention. Can you imagine if PTown just left someone shot and bleeding to death to die on main street? That would be ridiculous. With a broken arm? No way. With swine flue? Why chance it. Hells no. Fix it and lets move on. To do less, I think, is immoral and goes against humanity.
