Sasha and Malia Obama's Quacker School

Original post made by Friends, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Aug 5, 2009

Interesting school, Sidwell Friends, that Sasha and Melia Obama attend.

The school is based upon Quaker Principals, Diversity, and Environmental Stewardship.

Leave it alone.

I don't know where this is going, but leave the kids out of the conversation unless you are willing to bring your kids and any small random detail of their lives into the discussion as well...

I'm a Conservative and you have no business bringing up anything about the Obama girls on this forum...Period.

"I'm a Conservative and you have no business bringing up anything about the Obama girls on this forum...Period."

Could you clarify where you think the poster is going and why the Obama girls or where they are being educated is an off limit topic?

Personally I have reviewed the school Sidwel Friends and I would have my own children attend in a heartbeat.

The subject line "Quacker school" gives the reader a hint of where the original "Friend" poster might be taking this. That is, unless it was an unintended typo?

The Quaker/Friends schools are generally very highly regarded, both academically and as fostering a caring community among their students.

Weak - enough. Isn't it finally time for the Pleasanton Weekly to act? This is your blog - take some responsibility.

Sorry, I misspelled Quaker totally unintentionally in the topic line but spelled that correctly in the post.

I have the utmost respect for President Obama as well as his children. I admire that they are going to this school and I was intrigued by the school web site.

I don't understand the comment here?

Sidwell Friends is an awsome school. To find a negative here is pure envy. To have such an oppurnity in this area would be golden.

I seem to recall that Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton went to Sidwell Friends.
