Just talked with the PPD, they said it's a death investigation that's still ongoing, but didn't appear to be any foul play. You can always give them a call at 931-5100.

He was so so young-- An Amador graduate of 2004. He was a good person, a wonderful friend and he will be missed by so many people. This news breaks my heart.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of this young Marine. He is known to me as my son is also a Marine and is stationed at the same base as this young man was.
To me, and many others, he will forever be an American Hero. He served his country well and he will always have my greatest respect and admiration. Rest in peace Marine.
May God grant you all peace and give you comfort as you grieve this tragic loss of your loved one.

We have been trying since Friday noon to contact the Weekly and publish an official announcement of the memorial service, but no luck yet. Announcement appeared today in the Valley Times, and is available online there.
I may post it here under a new heading after talking with the family this evening. In the meantime, please be patient, and plan to attend next Saturday evening to honor this beautiful young Marine.
