Great article right guy-
"Fabians believed in gradual nationalization of the economy through manipulation of the democratic process. Breaking away from the violent revolutionary socialists of their day, they thought that the only real way to effect "fundamental change" and "social justice" was through a mass movement of the working classes presided over by intellectual and cultural elites."

Just like the socialist Sara Palin. She believed in the $750 Billion socialist takeover of financial companies.
Palin: Socialism for wealthy financial elites
Obama: Socialism for everybody

Excellent post, RightGuy! Simply excellent.
It is very unnerving to read posts from the left saying that rightwingers are hate mongers. The overwhelming majority of those on the right share the common emotion of 'love' for this country and oppose anything that threatens its security, culture, constitution and heritage.
I cannot say the same for many people on the left...ESPECIALLY our current President. Please don't blame me for this President because I voted for the one who is an American.

Dottie,
and your definition of "an American" would be?

Dottie, by 'American', did you mean?:
Born in the U.S.?
Possessing a valid birth certificate from a location in the U.S. that is readily availaile for confirmation?
Descending from parents who are Americans?
Supports America's values and doesn't bad mouth our country or apologize for our greatness?
Doesn't want to drag us down to the level of 3rd world country?

My how my eyes were opened by this article.
I knew the lower socioeconomic classes of the US (if you want to label it that) are beholdin' to the liberals.
This is a full scale war to go after the ones that are left...the middle class. They want us to tire and relent our freedom for the "easier" life we "deserve".
My two goals for the rest of the month, read Liberty and Tyranny and Common Sense.
When you take away obstacles from work, risk and reward, you remove work ethic, when you remove a work ethic you establish entitlement and when you establish that...you have tyranny.
Right Guy - you are the man for posting this incredible article.

"Bingo" SteveP!
I would just add a couple 'minor' characteristics of "American"
- Someone who actually values the vigorous NATIONAL DEFENSE of the US
- Someone who actually values LIFE, LIBERTY, and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
- Someone who values our national heritage and culture and wants to preserve it
- Someone who is legally a US citizen
- Someone who values the economic system that has made this country great...its called free-enterprise and capitalism
- Someone who values private property
- Someone who values free speech and the right to bear arms
-Someone who actually values our US Constitution (and doesn't use it as toilet paper like our current President)
There are many other examples I could reference where our current President is working hard to destroy this country...but I'll give readers of this a break for now.

Dottie, SteveP, Freedom isn't free,
By these definitions, I'm a PROUD American!
Dottie, feel free to continue your list...reading it is like drinking cold lemonade on a hot day!

SteveP,
Let me take this one point at a time.
"Born in the USA" So I guess by your definition, if you've chosen this country and become a naturalized citizen, you can never be an American. Maybe you should say that directly to families whose sons, daughters, husbands, or wives have fought, and perhaps died, for this country. Tell them "thanks, you can die for this country, but you'll never be a true American". Oh, wait, you just did.
"Possessing a valid birth certificate from a location in the U.S. that is readily availaile for confirmation?" What do you consider a "valid birth certificate"? Are you excluding Alaska and Hawaii as locations in the US?
"Descending from parents who are Americans?" So, that would be any Native American, right? Unless you're descended from the "people", everyone else came from somewhere else.
"Supports America's values" I really wonder, based on your comments, what you consider "America's values".
"and doesn't bad mouth our country or apologize for our greatness?" We're supposed to be the good guys, leaders in the world. You know, the ones in the white hats. When we have leaders making decisions that seriously impact our good guy status, we need to, no, are obligated, to speak up, and loudly.
"Doesn't want to drag us down to the level of 3rd world country?" What is your definition of a third world country? Have you actually been to a third world country? Vacationing in Mexico doesn't count. I don't think you can compare life anywhere in this country, especially not Pleasanton, to life in, oh say, Rwanda, for example. Or would you?
