With a case of swine flu already reported in Santa Clara County, hopefully no one who is sick will be attended the crowded event.

And, resident-
Hopefully no one with a cold, the "regular" flu, STD's, drunks in public, drunk drivers, ol' classmates, etc will be there.
I mean really, Resident, maybe YOU should just stay home and avoid it all, cause you ain't gonna control what the other guy is gonna do.

This flu is not any more serious or lethal than the normal seasonal flu. That may change in the future as this strain mutates but right now we don't need any hysteria from people like Resident.

I seriously doubt 120,000 people will show up for this event....rain predicted all weekend, swine flu outbreak and the poor economy. People don't have extra money to spend on wine, beer, and useless novelties.

Actually, this is *exactly* the type of event people attend when they don't have extra money.
I aggree though that the flu hysteria and the weather will keep people away.

I guess I am not the only one thinking about crowds and swine flu:

And reading the news, it seems like in New York, a street event was cancelled, and across the nation proms, graduations were postponed/cancelled. 5 schools in Santa Clara County (some private, some public) have been closed until May 7.
If this is as simple/harmless as the common flu, why are we hearing about it?

Not disputing any of the articles you posted, Resident. However to your point of "hopefully no one who is sick will be attended the crowded event." I think you're putting a lot on hope, so YOU should be sure to stay home.
