WOW!!! The Union Pacific Steam Engine 844 was heartstopping!

Original post made by Kate Barker, Pleasanton Valley, on Apr 22, 2009

Unfortunately, I left my stainless steel Klean Kan at the tracks. Minutes later I returned to find it gone. Who would want someone elses water bottle? It was a gift from my son. I would appreciate it that person could leave it on my porch, 2050 Harvest Road between Black and Northway, across from the park next to Walnut Grove.

And I'd like all my kid's jackets that he left at playgrounds and when we returned an hour later were gone. And all the jackets that he left at school and when we looked all over the next day were gone. There are a lot of kids wearing jackets that don't belong to them out there. I want them on my porch by sundown.

That wasn't you standing on the tracks to take a photo until the very last minute, was it?

Absolutely not. I might be old, fat and ugly... but, I'm not stupid.

I was sitting on the fence at St. John.....

ps. just remembered, I didn't see any steam. Was that 3rd car, a diesel electric locomotive, pushing??? This could be a massive fraud!

I saw steam as the locomotive was passing under 680, but yea, no steam as it rolled through Pleasanton. Yes, that was a diesel electric engine behind. I guess we now know why the kid wasn't waving.

Yeah! And I'd like the AVHS purple Cheer jacket (with my daughters name on it) that someone took at the recent Cheer Clinic! It's amazing to me that a parent could see their child come home with a jacket that doesn't belong to them and be okay with that! Sure, mistakes can happen...but how about returning it to Amador once you got home and realized you made a mistake? People are amazing!!
