In my opinion, people should not assume that those who either go to church or work for a church are good people.
Remember the catholic church scandal? These were priests accused of the abuse of minors. So a person going to church or working for a church is not a guarantee that the person is good.
However, the situation with this woman is a little different. She was not only a sunday school teacher, but a mother herself, lived in the community. It just goes to show that we cannot be too trusting, even with our neighbors.

There is obviously a man involved in this. Most likely her grandfather.

Gina, I was also surprised to hear that it was a woman, but then I quickly remembered that some mother's kill their own children.
If you go to the Megan's Law website you will see that there are some female sex offenders registered there as well. It looks as if she did it herself.
