Yet another Hit and Run collision. When are we going to address the real root of this problem...illegal aliens driving without a drivers license. They think its their right because the insurance companies give anyone insurance, even when they don't have a license. If you think this is not a problem ask the PD to tell you how many tickets they wrote last year in Pleasanton for people driving without licenses. Come on Governor! Lets make it a felony to drive without a license. You wouldn't give illegal aliens guns would you...a car is as deadly as a gun.

It most likely was a drunk though at that hour of the night.

Why does common sense assume it was an illegal alien? I was an ER nurse for many years and I can tell you that cases like this usually involve speeding and alcohol (or other drugs) and includes all races, ages, and gender...

Gracias chiron.
Is "common sense" racist? Just asking.

Common Sense How did you come to consider it to be an illegal alien? If you are concerned about illegal aliens driving without a license then don't punish the American people with more laws on driving without an license. If you are so concerned then preach about locking down our borders and preventing illegals from entering all together. Also how are you to even categories this to a person with out a license. They could have been drinking, fell asleep, loss of control, not paying attention, ect. To propose more laws to regulate people is not what this country is about.

Nothing to do with the accident/story, but I've always been under the impression that when a vehicle is stopped, and the driver doesn't have a driver's license, their vehicle is impounded and they're given a summons and sent walking. The police [all agencies] don't ticket them and let them drive away. No??
