These people are truely sick in the head. The man that lives there is still free and he should be arrested also. Anyone who could inflict harm on a toddler should fry.... Have fun in Jail.. Im sure they will be popular. hahahaha Enjoy evey moment of what they deserve. I actually hope I get called for Jury duty on this one.

Remember that Pleasanton is a Community of Character...and Livermore is not!!! These crimes could not take place in Pleasanton!!!

You're out of your mind if you think that this couldn't take place in Pleasanton. Crazy/Sick people aren't just restricted to certain 'regions' or 'towns'. Tragedy can strike anyone, anywhere and if you think differently than you're just naive.

@ CofC:
Your comments with regards to something like this not happening in Pleasanton, you have to be quite the ignorant person to think that this would'nt happen in your town.
These thing's arent related to specific town's, they can, and have, happened in pleasanton, dublin, livermore, san ramon, and so on and so on.
Just cause you dont hear it in the paper or on the internet, doesnt mean they dont happen.
Check your facts next time and dont be so shallow.

@ CofC:
Although it does not show a murder rate, your oh-so-perfect town of Pleasanton, as with ANY town, does coincide with expected crime rate numbers. See for yourself:

Next time, think twice before spouting ignorant comments on public sites.

In response to the ignorant comment made by "CofC, a member of the Lydiksen Elementary School community" it's people like you that give our community a bad reputation that we are shallow, self centered, rich snobs that only care about themselves. If you want to talk about Pleasanton has "Character" if you were to be the example of Pleasanton, you certainly would not be a role model of "Character" with comments like that. You should find a way to help your neighboring city, not make fun of it, it's just plain WRONG!!! Hope you're gonna change your mind and apologize to the people of Livermore.

It's very obvious that the person who posted that this couldn't happen in Pleasanton was just trying to get people riled up. There is now way that was a serious comment. Come on people, does it even deserve a response?? If we don't respond then these people won't bother posting ridiculous things anymore.

We know from the Scherer homicides that sick people invade our neighborhoods too...

CofC's comment has done nothing but divert this conversation from the loss of two innocent children, to a useless argument about the character of two communities.
