I needed to get an idea of visualizing this area for myself so I opened up handy ol' Google Earth and overlayed the "Oak Grove at Buildout" graphic available from this site: Web Link
Then I put some place markers around the area and drew in the hiking trails in red. The nice thing about Google Earth is that it contains terrain data so you can read the elevation. Using this data, one can see that the higher ridgelines in Oak Grove are dedicated to the park while the lower ridgeline will have the mansions on it. For comparison are marked the highest elevation property in Kottinger Ranch and the highest and lowest elevation lots in Oak Grove. So the idea that the public is somehow being shortchanged with regards to trail placement is a busted myth.
Futhermore, the primary ridgelines of the entire hill system in that area don't even lie within the Oak Grove property. Oak Grove ridgelines are secondary ridgelines and therefore not really comparable in terms of visual impact to the primary ridgeline on top of Pleasanton Ridge.
I'm attaching a screenshot from Google Earth and hopefully the PW system will display it... I'll include the Google Earth kmz file later after it gets tested for completeness.
