This is really scarey...why is all of this happening to quiet Pleasanton?

Because life happens here too....And our youth are misguided....sadly..

Ok, who can tell me where the editor was when they printed this sentence?

Am I missing something here? Why was there a lockdown? The article neglected to mention that part.....

"The offices and school were placed under lockdown since around 9 a.m. after the school received a threatening phone call. Grasso said the threat alluded to a potential shooting."

(Comment partially removed by Pleasanton Weekly Online staff) Yes, there are some that can’t be helped by the school but it has helped so many more. I graduated from Village and couldn’t have imagined a better school. The kids at Amador were not people I wanted to be around and they were very unforgiving of people’s differences and feelings. (I am saying from my experience. I am not putting down everyone at Amador and I know there are good people) I was going through some things and didn’t go to school often. Amador had given up on me and had NO resources to help kids who needed it most. Village gave me the opportunity to turn my life around and I was able to graduate with my class. They have teachers that are caring and understanding and support the students. It is sad to see how many people have negative views on the school just because the kids are different. You say “Misguided youth comes from misguided parents” but it is people like you that judge a book by its cover and don’t give people a chance.

To Former Student - Well said. Bob, obviously you are perfect and if you have kids (the poor souls) they are perfect too. Ah, what a feeling that must be...Well guess what...That schools has helped kids who have been given up on...Shame on you for that..But I forgot, your perfect. Hmm....

First of all, I think that Village HS is an excellant school. My son goes there. Regarding the incident that surrounded the closure. Where is the 'Girlfriends Parents' in all this? They may want to be a little more engaged / influential in their daughter's life. Obviously she needs some stern guidance and *common sense* in whom she chooses to be her boyfriend. To the Parents of the daughter; take this situation as a *wake up call* so to be not added to the number of parents that are often interviewed after such related tragedies saying " How can this have happened, I wished I had known…” or “I should have-could have been involved in my child's life”.
