Pleasanton Unified School District's three high schools each have their graduation ceremonies scheduled for this Friday (June 3).

Village High School graduates will be honored from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Firehouse Arts Center, Foothill High School's ceremony will run from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Foothill Stadium and Amador Valley High School's event will start at 7 p.m.

Election Day will arrive on Tuesday (June 7), marking the deadline for residents to cast their vote in person or submit their completed vote-by-mail ballot.

Local contests on Tri-Valley ballots include Alameda County district attorney, county sheriff-coroner, county superintendent of schools, county Board of Education Trustee Area 7, Zone 7 Water Agency Board of Directors, Assembly Districts 16 and 20, U.S. House of Representatives District 14 and a handful of statewide posts.

Goodguys is hosting its 27th annual Summer Get-Together at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton this Saturday (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Sunday (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

The car show will feature "over 2,500 custom hot rods, muscle cars, restored classics and trucks from all over the country competing for industry-leading show prizes, as well as on-track excitement, live music and more," organizers said. For tickets, visit good-guys.com.

Local military veteran and community service organizations are holding the annual Hometown Pancake Breakfast for the first time in two years this Saturday (June 4) at Delucchi Park in downtown Pleasanton from 7:30-11 a.m.

The event raises funds to support Pleasanton Military Families, which is gearing up for an upcoming packout to send care packages later this month to service members overseas. Donations of cash and goods will be accepted at the breakfast.
