After the presentation, Palmer will answer questions about the water situation in the Tri-Valley. Discussions may continue in the library's Daily Grind Espresso Bar & Cafe.
Palmer, who has a Ph.D. in biochemistry, is a retired science teacher and has been on the Zone 7 Board of Directors since 2006. She also serves as vice president of the Association of California Water Agencies Region 5 board, is on the ACWA state board and on the Delta Conveyance Design and Construction Joint Powers Authority, which is responsible for the tunnels project.
Palmer is also an AAUW member, an avid hiker, painter and paddle boarder.
