The local Relay for Life will be held June 22 at Granada High School, the second year to combine the events for Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon and Danville. Last year's relay took place at Dublin High School and raised $130,000.
Teams are forming now for the Relay for Life in June when they will camp overnight with members taking turns walking around the track for 24 hours, signifying that the fight against cancer never sleeps.
Companies, schools, service clubs, churches and other groups are encouraged to form a team, and past participants are encouraged to join the effort again. Fundraising activities include Luminaria bags to honor cancer survivors and victims.
Co-chairs this year are Donna Foster, Larry Coy and Natalia Custodio. To join the Relay for Life, call Anh Nguyen at 408-646-9293, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.RelayForLife.org/TriValleyCA.
