There were reports of active snowfall in parts of Livermore overnight Monday, Tri-Valley commuters noted dustings along the Altamont Pass, and all sorts of residents, public officials and business owners were busy sharing snow photos and videos come Tuesday morning -- including this one from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office showing K-9 officer Snake enjoying the snow on Calaveras Road above Sunol.
Though most of the Bay Area snow dissipated by week's end, meteorologists predicted significant snowfall in higher elevations through the weekend. They advise Bay Area residents traveling to Lake Tahoe or other Sierra Nevada destinations to check the forecasts and stay safe when taking their trips.
