Pleasanton Boy Scouts Troop 941 would like to thank the community for another successful Christmas Tree recycling service project and fundraiser.
On Saturday, Jan. 8, an eager group of 42 scouts and many parent volunteers collected over 1,000 trees from residents who registered throughout the month of December. The trees are taken to the Pleasanton Garbage Service transfer station, where they are mulched for reuse by the community.
Funds raised by the project are used by the members of the troop to pay for camping equipment and scouting activities such as our annual summer camp at Wente Scout Reservation and for weekend camp-outs and outings. For more information, please visit troop941.org.
Thank you, Pleasanton!
