At the conference, teens will be put into teams to tackle projects based on marketing, event conception, project management, finance or presentations. Participants will present their project plan at the end of the conference.
Laurie Bodine, of START Leadership, is the keynote speaker for the event. Bodine has studied what skills are needed in business leadership and family leadership, particularly related to cultivating respect and empowering future leaders. Bodine has worked for 3M, Workday, Wells Fargo, UCSF and the San Mateo County Office of Education.
Lunch and a post-workshop mixer is included with registration, which can be completed at PleasantonFun.com under course 60857. The workshop costs $40 for Pleasanton residents and $44 for residents of other cities.
