Dennis McEnery, a native of Yonkers, New York, and a California transplant, has left us with fond memories of his journey through life. He was a proud graduate of Mission San Jose High School and San Jose State University, where he cultivated his love for the environment. Yet, his path would soon diverge into two remarkable passions. First, while at college, he met the love of his life, Marna, with whom he shared his days till the end. Their love story created a beautiful family with the birth of their son, Cliff.

Second, Dennis found himself working at a winery, discovering a passion for winemaking. Alongside this, he honed his construction skills, masterminding the transformation of a brewery into the now-iconic J Lohr Winery in San Jose. After over a decade in Lake Tahoe, Dennis and Marna settled in Pleasanton, where he continued to practice his craft, leaving a mark on countless homes in the Tri-Valley area. Dennis McEnery is survived by his loving wife, Marna, their son, Cliff, sister Nancy, and granddaughters Aria and Mika. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice in Dennis's memory. A celebration of life is planned for Sept. 16th at the McEnery residence in Pleasanton.
