Visit Tri-Valley is hosting a Caffeine Trail and an Ice Cream Trail to encourage coffee and ice cream fanatics to explore the flavors of Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and Danville.

The way the trails work is a participant must first obtain a passport, via online download or at a participating shop. Then, the participant must visit the necessary number of stops along the trail, collecting passport stamps at each ice cream or coffee shop.

Once the trail is completed, the participant must bring or mail their completed passport to Visit Tri-Valley at 5075 Hopyard Road, Suite 240, in Pleasanton. Participants may also post pictures of their journey on Facebook or Instagram.

Once participants have successfully carried out all of the tasks, they will receive the prize that corresponds to the completed Tri-Valley trail.

The newest trail in the Tri-Valley, the Caffeine Trail, offers a Tri-Valley mug to those who visit four coffee and tea shops on the trail, as long as each of the four cities are visited.

In Pleasanton, Inklings, Characterz Cafe and Coffee Roasterz, The English Rose Tea Room, The Press and Sugarie Bake Shop are all participating shops.

The Ice Cream Trail is an award-winning trail with 16 unique ice cream shops, including Pleasanton’s Almare Gelato Italiano, Icicles, Meadowlark Dairy, Rita’s Italian Ice, and Snowflake.

This year, they are offering a Visit Tri-Valley ice cream scooper to participants who visit five ice cream shops along the trail to promote equal opportunity scooping. In addition, $5 will be donated to Big Dawgs Rescue in what they call “Cones for Paws.”

Visit Tri-Valley promotes tourism in the area through the Tri-Valley Tourism Business Improvement District, which is made up of the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin and the town of Danville.
