The ninth annual Hike for Hope at Livermore’s Del Valle Regional Park last month raised more than $90,000 for Hope Hospice and Home Health.

With more than 600 hikers and walkers on the trails, the Hike for Hope gave participants an opportunity to remember departed loved ones and support Hope in its mission as a local patient caregiver. The funds raised during the event allow Hope to provide services such as the Family Caregiver Education Series and grief support services to the public for no cost.

“We are so grateful to the Hike for Hope participants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers,” Hope CEO Jennifer Hansen said in a statement. “As a nonprofit agency, Hope is blessed by the generosity of our community, which makes our programs and services possible.”

Jennifer Pettley, Hope’s director of development, added, “We are also grateful for the folks from MCE Corp., which treated all the hikers and volunteers to a wonderful barbecue lunch following the hike.”
