The Alameda County Arts Commission will be awarding 2019 “Artsfund Grants” for nonprofit organizations of between $1,000 and $2,500. The deadline to apply is March 1.

The program supports all types of arts including dance, literature, media arts, music, theater, visual arts and multidisciplinary arts presented by nonprofit organizations. Last year, grants were presented to 48 groups.

Arts Commission staff are presenting three free workshops to assist organizations in preparing their grant applications, including one from 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Livermore Community Center. Workshops are free, open to the public, and reservations are not required.

The workshop information is online in the Artsfund Video. To view the video and for more program details, go to www.acgov.org/arts and click on “Programs.” The Arts Commission office can also be contacted by email at artscommission@acgov.org or by telephone at 510-208-9646.
