The westbound lanes of I-580 will be closed from tonight at midnight to 3 a.m. Friday as crews put temporary structures in place for overpass work at Isabel Avenue.
Westbound traffic will be detoured at Livermore Avenue and then onto Portola Avenue to East Airway Boulevard where it can re-enter the westbound lanes of the freeway.
Eastbound lanes of I-580 also will be detoured on the early morning hours on Sunday,Nov. 28, when those lanes will be closed from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m., Caltrans spokeswoman Allyn Amsk said.
