The U.S. Geological Survey reported that an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.6 struck last night in Sonoma County.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck shortly before 7:45 p.m. and had a depth of 1.0 miles.

The quake was centered three miles east-southeast of The Geysers and 14 miles east of Cloverdale, according to the USGS.
