An earthquake with the preliminary magnitude of 3.2 shook Alameda County this afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake struck at 3:30 p.m. with an epicenter that was about 3.8 miles deep, about a kilometer away from El Cerrito and about 10 miles north-northwest of Berkeley.
