Developer Legacy Partners has announced that its new 222-unit, mixed-use community in downtown Livermore is now open and accepting lease applications.

"We're proud to bring these new luxury apartments to downtown Livermore," David Eichler, senior managing director at Legacy, said in a statement last week.

"Legacy at Livermore's location cannot be surpassed: restaurants and retail shops at your doorstep, proximity to transit and commuting routes, and great recreation opportunities nearby -- all with the stunning mountains of the Diablo Range as a backdrop," he added.

Designed by BDE Architects of San Francisco, the community is located at 57 South L St., a nine-minute walk to the ACE Train and accessible to neighboring Pleasanton and Dublin, as well as the greater Bay Area via interstates 580 and 680.

The apartment complex is also within walking distance of downtown Livermore's array of restaurants and shops.

"With a 'walk score' of 98, this fabulous community is just steps away from an eclectic mix of eateries and entertainment, bustling breweries, and unique boutiques," Legacy Partners said in its announcement.

The complex consists of two buildings at three and four stories, respectively, and features studios as well as one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts ranging from 550 to 1,612 square feet.

The units are equipped with gas cook tops, dressing room closets, built-in cabinetry and casework, high-speed fiber internet, full-size washer and dryers, oversized windows, and moveable kitchen islands, according to the developer.

Additional amenities include landscaped courtyards and picnic areas; a fitness center with Techno Gym and Peloton equipment; community room with kitchen, lounge, and game room; low-emission Tesla and EV charging stations; and bicycle storage.

On the rooftop, residents have access to a pool, spa, BBQ area and views of Mount Diablo and the surrounding mountains in the Diablo Range.

Legacy at Livermore is the newest community from Legacy to open in the East Bay. Last year, Legacy opened the 97-unit Legacy at Hayward, which is currently 93% leased, according to the developer.

Both the Livermore and Hayward projects endured a setback in 2021 when the initial contractor for the developments, Katerra, filed for bankruptcy. Construction on the two new complexes halted for several months until a new contractor was found. In Livermore, construction resumed in November 2021 with San Jose-based SBI Builders, Inc.

In addition to the residential units, the Legacy at Livermore community also includes 11,679 square feet of ground level retail space which is being leased by Lee & Associates ǀ East Bay, Inc.
