The Bay East Association of Realtors Foundation announced the nine recipients of its $16,500 scholarship award for the 2023-24 school year.

The recipients are Devyn Donovan-Stauder (Willamette University), Savanna Johnson (San Diego State University), Sarah Lisanti (Loyola University), Benjamin Magana (UC Berkeley), Clara Markel (Cal Poly San Luis-Obispo), Eaindrae "Melody" Myae (UCLA), Arian Moghni (U.C. Santa Cruz), Tony Wang (Stanford University) and Cole Wisenor (Baylor University).

The foundation has awarded around $200,000 in scholarships and provided over 100 students with grants since launching the scholarship program in 2015. Since being established in 1978, they've provided financial support for education and charitable needs throughout nearby counties.

"We are always impressed with the number of high quality of applications we receive each year," Trevor Frey, foundation president, said in a press release. "While that makes the awards decisions difficult, it also motivates us to continue fundraising efforts to support the dreams of these outstanding students."

Scholarship applications for the 2024-25 school year will be available on March 1, 2024. The opportunity is open to any student with a minimum GPA of 3.25 whose primary residency is in Alameda or Contra Costa counties, and who currently attends or has been accepted to a qualifying educational institution for the upcoming school year.
