The Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association and the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation presented a check last week worth $85,000 to the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District to support the district’s programs that offer meals to all youth in Livermore.
The organizations raised the money through a virtual auction this summer for a range of items that included wine packages, vacation trips and more.
“Moving the auction up to July from its usual September timing allowed this donation to reach the school district just as the new school year is beginning,” organizers said.
