Pleasanton teen reported missing on New Year's Day found safe


A Pleasanton teen missing since New Year's has been found safe, according to law enforcement officials. PPD and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

The agencies had both been searching for 15-year-old Michael Gritzai since he left his home in rural Pleasanton on Jan. 1. They reported on Thursday that the teen had been located unharmed.

Details about why he disappeared for so long or his whereabouts during that time have not been disclosed.
