'Imagination Expressed 2020' opens in Pleasanton

New art exhibition arrives at Museum on Main

The Museum on Main and Pleasanton Art League have partnered to open their 13th annual "Imagination Expressed" exhibit in the downtown museum.

Designed to showcase the talents of the Tri-Valley's finest artists, "Imagination Expressed 2020" features paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics, jewelry and other artwork created by members of the Pleasanton Art League.

"This year's version of 'Imagination Expressed' promises to dazzle the eyes, engage the minds, and nourish the spirits of the museum's visitors," museum curator Ken MacLennan said in a statement.

The exhibition officially welcomed viewers starting on Wednesday. An opening reception is scheduled for this Sunday (Jan. 12) from 2-4 p.m. at the museum on 603 Main St.

Many of the works displayed will be available for purchase, with the museum receiving 10% of the proceeds from sales, according to MacLennan.

Pleasanton Art League members are set to appear at the museum to demonstrate their methods and talk with residents about their artwork. For more information, visit the Museum on Main's Facebook page.

"Imagination Expressed 2020" will run through March 15. The Museum on Main is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 1-4 p.m. on Sundays.
