'Viva MOMIX' on Livermore stage

Innovative dance illusionists MOMIX return to the Bankhead Theater next weekend with their trademark style -- illusion, beauty, magic, fun and inventiveness.

Moses Pendleton, who founded the troupe in 1980, calls it "visual theater," saying he sets an image first then adds choreography, props, lighting and music for an astonishing visual experience.

"Viva MOMIX" begins at 8 p.m. next Saturday (Oct. 19). Tickets are $20-$95; students and military, $20. Call 373-6800, visit lvpac.org, or go to the box office, 2400 First St., Livermore.
