Pace for Peace through wine country

Tri-Valley Haven fundraiser is fun outing for all

Join Pace for Peace on Saturday, Oct. 5, for a 5K/10K walk or run through the scenic Livermore Valley wine country to benefit Tri-Valley Haven.

Faith Alpher of KKIQ will emcee the event, and all proceeds go to local survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and homelessness served by Tri-Valley Haven.

Registration opens at 7 a.m. the day of the pace at 3663 Pacific Ave. in Livermore, or participants can register online at

The walk/run begins at 8 a.m., proceeds along the Arroyo bike trail and through Robertson Park and on to the vineyards. Pace for Peace offers something for everyone -- serious runners as well as those out for a leisurely walk with friends and family.

Medals will be awarded, and refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk/run.
