STEAM workshops for fifth-grade girls

'Divas' to explore science, technology, engineering, art, math

Fifth-grade girls are invited to the AAUW STEAM Divas to expand their horizons in math and science being held March 23 at Junction Avenue K-8 School in Livermore.

At the half-day event, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, the girls will participate in three 55-minute hands-on STEAM workshops to explore science, technology, engineering, art and math.

There will also be a 90-minute parent program from 9-10:30 a.m. that focuses on creating a college-bound pathway for daughters interested in the subjects.
