Foothill High School students gathered in computer science teacher Shannon Sos' classroom last week to take part in Hour of Code.

A nationwide event that happens during Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 3-9), Hour of Code aims to engage students in computer science, especially women and underrepresented minorities.

Foothill's event was organized by student Atreyo Chakrabarty and happened after school on Dec. 7.
