The California Highway Patrol this morning is reporting an overturned big-rig on southbound Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasanton.

The incident occurred just north of the Bernal Avenue off-ramp.

It was first reported at 4:54 a.m.

The overturned rig reportedly spilled 27 tons of dirt onto the roadway that needs to be cleaned up.

The CHP has issued a Sig-alert due to the incident.

Several lanes of southbound Interstate Highway 680 remain closed.
