A motorcyclist has died from injuries suffered in a solo crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 680 near Sunol, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported just before 10 a.m. on northbound I-680 near the CHP truck scales.
The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley but died from his injuries, CHP officials said.
No information about what led to the crash has been released.
Three lanes of the freeway were initially blocked but reopened after several hours.
