Zone 7 board set for special meeting Thursday

Public presentation on agency activities; closed-session talks to focus on negotiations, litigation

The Zone 7 Water Agency Board of Directors is set to hold a special meeting early Thursday afternoon to discuss the agency's priorities and debate in closed session about pending legal cases and labor negotiations.

Members of the public can attend the meeting's beginning, offer comments during the citizens forum and hear a presentation on the scope of Zone 7 activities, before directors and staff will adjourn to closed session.

During closed session, directors will discuss negotiations with local bargaining units.

They will then confer with legal counsel regarding two existing cases of litigation: Zone 7 v. Bhupinder Singh, and Edwin Belshe and Ginger Belshe v. Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, Zone 7.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Zone 7 administration building, 100 N. Canyons Pkwy. in Livermore.
