Republican candidate for Congress hosting meet-and-greet at Livermore pub

Peters wants to speak with local citizens about issues facing the Tri-Valley

Republican challenger Rudy Peters, who is running for Congress against incumbent U.S. Eric Swalwell (D-Dublin), is holding a meet-and-greet event at Eight Bridges Brewing, Inc. in Livermore this Saturday from 6-9 p.m.

Peters has stated that he wants to be able to address local concerns from Tri-Valley residents about gridlock in Congress and rising costs of living. “This isn’t about whether you’re a Democrat or Republican,” he said. “I want to be able to represent all of you and focus on providing actual solutions to help the citizens of the district instead of simply fighting the other side all the time.”

Peters said that he plans to hold more public events in the upcoming months in all of the cities and towns in the 15th Congressional District, which includes Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, Hayward, Union City, Castro Valley, Sunol and parts of northern Fremont.
