Museum on Main welcomes historical actress Miriam Reed as the famous suffragette in “An Afternoon with Susan B. Anthony” at the Firehouse Arts Center at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Reed will bring to life the Susan B. Anthony, who began her life as a frivolous young woman. Then she will share the events that brought Anthony to meet Elizabeth Cady Stanton and become a full-time worker for woman to have the right to control their own persons, to ownership of their own wages, to guardianship of their children and finally the right of suffrage.

“Miriam Reed is an amazing actress and a meticulous scholar, so we are very excited to be welcoming her as Susan B. Anthony,” museum education director Sarah Schaefer said.

“The audience here in Pleasanton has been waiting for years to see Susan B. Anthony, and with our evening performance already sold out, we are recommending those who are interested in coming to our afternoon performance get their tickets now,” she added.
