Pleasanton's CarMax holding job fair today to fill 70 new positions

Recently-opened national retailer expanding its only Tri-Valley operation

CarMax, which is expanding its operations at 2750 Stoneridge Drive in Pleasanton, will hold a job fair Saturday to fill 70 new positions.

The majority of open positions are in sales and service operations, including detailers and experienced technicians, said Rosey Sanders, Sacramento Regional Vice President of Service Operations.

CarMax associates will meet with those at the job fair to describe the available work positions.

However, applications for these positions are only accepted online. Job seekers should apply at jobs.carmax.com/

“We provide hands-on experience, mentorship and other great benefits like tuition reimbursement for those who want to become technicians,” Sanders said.

“CarMax values and supports growth and development, meaning associates have access to world-class training while building a great career,” Sanders added.

CarMax has more than 22,000 associates nationwide. During the 12 months ending last Feb. 29, the company retailed 619,936 used cars and sold 394,437 wholesale vehicles at its in-store auctions.
