Victim found in Pleasanton with leg wound

Police are investigating after a young man was found with a stab wound in Pleasanton Sunday evening.

The victim, a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, had a stab wound to his leg when Pleasanton police found him before 7 p.m. Sunday on Gerard Court, according to Livermore police Sgt. Ryan Sanchez.

Livermore police are lead investigative agency at this time, Sanchez said. "We don't even know for certain it happened in our jurisdiction," the sergeant said.

The victim was transported to Eden Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Due to his level of intoxication, he could not provide police with any information on what happened or who was responsible, Sanchez said.

As of Tuesday morning, the victim had still not given a statement to police, according to the sergeant.

Anyone with information on the stabbing is encouraged to contact Livermore police, 371-4900.
